Today I did some work in the house, changing the old ceiling fans to newer ones. Daniel, the electrician changed four, removing the 4 old fans and installing the new ones for 400 Mexican pesos or $32.04 USD. Now ion the states that would have cost all of $400.oo dollars plus.

Lunch was at a "cocina economico" or the living room of a local house where there are usually three meals served on the “menu”. Today I had pollo pibil, rice, beans and tortilla [pollo pibil, arroz, frijoles y tortillas, con ensalada de aguacate] for $3.00. This is far more fun and far more exciting that sitting in a restaurant in Centro. You become a part of the “family”.
